MCWLA

The Monterey County Women Lawyers Association is committed:

  • To further the honor, integrity and dignity of, and promote the performance of public service by, members of the legal profession and the judiciary. 
  • To promote the welfare and common interests of women in the legal profession and the judiciary. 
  • To stimulate interest in and encourage discussion of legal issues of concern to women. 
  • To promote the welfare of women in the community and to eliminate discrimination based on sex. 
  • To promote a spirit of mutual support, cooperation and service and to foster social contacts among the members of the Association as well as other members of the legal profession and the judiciary. 
  • To provide scholarships to students enrolled in law school and support educational programs which promote the study of law. 
  • To provide an organization for collective action and expression in matters related to the above purposes. 
  • To provide continuing legal education to members of the legal community.
